Welcome to Foothill Carp Bait&Tackle

About Us

I didn’t grow up with much.

I was adopted, and from early on, life felt like a constant uphill climb. There were no handouts, no safety nets, and no easy paths laid out in front of me. A lot of the time, it felt like I was just trying to figure things out on my own—how to survive, how to push forward, and how to build something better than what I came from.

Fishing became my escape.

When everything else felt heavy or out of control, I could go to the water and just breathe. Out there, none of the stress, the struggle, or the past mattered. It was quiet. It was peaceful. It was mine. Carp fishing especially—it wasn’t just about catching fish. It was about patience, learning, and finding something steady in a world that wasn’t always that way.

As I got older, life didn’t magically get easier. I had my own family to think about—my kids. And I knew one thing for sure: I didn’t want them growing up the way I did. I wanted more for them. Stability. Opportunity. Something to be proud of.

That’s where this business was born.

Starting a carp bait and tackle business wasn’t just about selling bait or gear—it was about turning something that saved me into something that could support my family. It’s built on long days, hard work, and the belief that no matter where you start, you can build something better.

Every bag of bait, every hook, every piece of tackle—it all comes from a place of experience. I know what it’s like to need something reliable, affordable, and made by someone who actually cares. Because I’ve been that guy on the bank, trying to make something out of nothing.

This business is more than just a shop.

It’s my story.

It’s my second chance.

And it’s the foundation I’m building for my kids—so they don’t have to start where I did.
